Smart Meter (ASM-R): A meter which can be turned on and off remotely without an on-site service call. Almost all Texas residential customers have a Smart Meter.
Other Meter (ASM-M): A meter which cannot be turned on and off without an on-site service call. Very few residential customers still have these meters.
Standard Move In: A date selected that is greater than 48 business hours from time of enrollment.
Priority Move In: A priority connection request that would be completed within 24-48 business hours.
Standard Switch: The switch will be completed within 3-7 business days at the discretion of the utility.
Self-Selected Switch: You decide the switch date, not the utility. If you are currently with another retailer and know the date of when your contract will end, you can select this option to avoid disconnect in service.
